ABOUT THE MATROX FILE CONSOLIDATOR ---------------------------------- The Matrox File Consolidator takes MOV or MP4 files created using the Matrox Monarch's file switching feature and consolidates them back into a single file. File switching creates multiple files that all follow a specific naming convention; that is, "Filename-[YYYY-MM-DD_HH-MM-SS]-FiveDigitIndex.mp4/mov". For example, "MyMOVFile-2015-01-31_18-02-46-00000.mov" or "MyMP4File-2015-01-31_18-02-46-00001.mp4" are valid filenames. You must keep the same naming convention when consolidating files, and all the files must be located in the same folder on your computer. HOW TO USE THE MATROX FILE CONSOLIDATOR --------------------------------------- 1. Run the file "Matrox File Consolidator.jar". 2. Click "Browse" and then locate the folder containing the files to consolidate. 3. Select one of the files to be consolidated. You can select any file in the series. The consolidator will detect the other related files to consolidate based on the five-digit index in their filenames (00000, 00001, 00002, etc). 4. (Optional) In the "From video file" field, you can specify the consolidation interval. For example, if you have 5 files in the folder but only want to consolidate files 2 and 3, enter "From video file # 2 to # 3". 5. Select the destination folder. 6. Click "Consolidate". The consolidated file will appear in the destination folder you specified.
